5 items to have in your bedroom that you never thought you need

Your bedroom is sacred. I mean, I don't even want to know what you do there. But hey, most of us spend at least 8 hours a day here. Some maybe even more (if you live in a bedroom). This is where we read our books/e-books, watch tv, eat breakfast, and more aside from sleeping obviously. Some even have full-sized gaming rigs set up for gaming marathons (please don't forget to eat and hydrate) or for work (if you don't have an office). In short, we spend a lot of time in this space.

So I have a list of things here you probably never thought that you need in your bedrooms. I haven't thought of these myself until I started needing them. These are needs not wants and I promise, you need these items. Shall we start? These items are in random order but you will need all of them anyway.

1. Multi-Port Rotating Plug

Every bedroom must have at least 2 power ports (with two outlets each). This means that you can only plug a maximum of 4 devices in at least two corners of the room. But what if you have more than 4 devices? What if you want them all together in one place? I know a lot of people use multi-port power surge protectors but those look ugly. You need something like the one below.

Now, the one pictured here is what I have been using for more than a year and it's been great, no complaints. But of course, there are plenty more out there that will match the color of your wall, your carpet, or your bed. It plugs directly into the power outlet, is discrete, and blends well with my wall. Consider how many devices you want in your bedroom and make sure to check all the things you need for a multi-port power outlet before you purchase.

2. Bedside Electronic Caddy

Moving to our next item. Having multiple power ports close to your bed (for most of us) follows a dilemma, "Where do I put these devices? My bedside table is only this big". Assuming your bed is right beside your power ports and you have multiple devices stacked together on top of your tiny table lamp, you need to have this.

But before you buy this, make sure that the side of your bed is not thick nor wide enough to be able to attach this caddy. Your bed must have approximately 6 inches in height, a 1-inch thickness sidewall or it won't fit. So just browse the interweb (or just Amazon) to find the best fit for your bed. This one has velcro so it can stick to the back of your mattress or if your mattress is heavy enough, it can clip/jam the portion of the caddy that wraps around the bedside. It has space for a tablet, two phones, and even a laptop. Very useful indeed!

3. Back Support Pillow

If you like watching TV, reading the news, or browsing the internet before sleeping, then this item is the one to look for. It is different from a bed pillow in that it is designed for your back. You can use it as a typical pillow but it might be too thick for you and could hurt your neck overnight. Actually, I never thought that I would be using this more than my pillow. It is such good back support that you could fall asleep with your back on it (which happened to me many times). It is the only item in my house with the highest concentration of my DNA since I use it in the bedroom and in the living room.

The one I have is pictured below. I bought mine at Walmart when it was on sale.

Make sure you buy a darker-colored (or grayish) back pillow because I know you will be using it a lot and you wouldn't want to see stains or fades over time. They are very well made so they can take a beating. Even in pillow fights, this sure is a winner.

4. Laptop Table

Just like from the previous post (link here), this item is so useful that you can use it exclusively in your bedroom. If your electronics are heavy, use this instead of risking your wrists to potential injury. It is also comfortable to use as a breakfast bed table during those rainy days when you just want to be in your bedroom all day. Here's what I have at home.

Note that this table is only good for one person so your partner will have to go get his/her own. It is light enough to be carried on one hand and is foldable for easy storage.

5. Storage Safe Box

Most of us keep our most important documents in our bedrooms so this is a no-brainer. In case of emergency, get one that is water-proof and if possible fire-proof as well. These safe boxes come in different sizes and I suggest, getting the biggest one that will fit properly with the size of your bedroom. The reason is simple. You would also want to put jewelry, photos, accessories, and heirlooms because they are also important. You want all your valuables safely stored in your bedroom. Check out my recommendation below.

Occasionally, I will write articles that have these recommended items/technology that could make your lives a bit more comfortable and efficient. In the end, it is up to you to decide if you actually need them. Thanks for reading.

Imagine-Station's Virtual Farming: The Future of Agriculture?

Imagine running a fully automated farm in the comfort of your own home. With the increasing population in urban areas and automation slowly stealing people's jobs, we need to find a win-win solution. Using automation to control highly sophisticated processes like agriculture is definitely still far ahead but we are getting there. Agriculture is a staple source of survival of any civilization but due to increased urbanization, younger people started moving toward cities pursuing jobs much farther than farming. And that is not a good thing. With recent advances in technology including faster wireless connection, smarter computers, and a much better human-machine interface, I believe we are heading towards a new era of automated tasks that includes farming. Using robotics to plant, maintain, and harvest produce sounds complicated but with the help of artificial intelligence to identify plant growth stages and productivity, it can be easier to optimize any agricultural process. Top 5 must have items for apartment dwellers

A lack of space is usually one of the constraints of apartment living. Before buying a new item, you first have to consider its size since you lack real estate for storage. Living in a smaller space could also mean that you must have long-lasting and multi-purpose items. Another factor to consider is the convenience of technology or design. Even if it serves its purpose, will it be convenient to operate or use? To help you a bit, I prepared a list of must-have items to consider if you do happen to live in an apartment.  Some of the items here work better in smaller spaces and are very helpful in low-rise to high-rise apartment complexes. This list is in random order so it is up to you to figure out which one will be most helpful. Now, on to our list. 1. An Air fryer I cannot stress this enough. I live in an apartment and my air fryer is my lifeline! It is so convenient and cooks deliciously! Cooking in an air fryer also cuts back on calories and fats according to multiple sources ...

Imagine Station's Operating System in the Cloud

Imagine a next-level streaming technology that lets you stream your own personal computer in the cloud. A completely online-only operating system with a familiar user interface that emulates an actual computer. A personal virtual machine accessible to everyone. All from the cloud. So how does it work? You have a familiar device (like a tablet that is network-ready), you log in using your online account, and voila! a whole desktop experience right in front of you. Everything you do there gets saved in the cloud and of course, you can log in to your personal computer from any device with a browser and internet access. Just like Google Drive has different tiers, why not an actual full Operating System that exists in an online drive? OS streaming that is subscription-based with a free basic account to go back to if you run out of money? That sounds amazing. The upgradeable tiers include a combination of memory, graphics, processing speed, storage space, multiple users, and more (insert fe...
